Diana Walstad is a renowned microbiologist, researcher, and author who revolutionized the aquarium hobby by bridging the gap between complex science and home fishkeeping. After earning her degree in microbiology, she spent decades as a research technician in medical and biological fields, eventually serving as a cell biologist at the National Institute of Environmental Health Science.
At our show, she is taking her scientific expertise from the page to the pedestal. She will be building a balanced ecosystem display using her world-famous Walstad Method, which uses organic soil to provide a natural source of CO2 and nutrients for plants.
