Mushrooms

Mushroom corals, or corallimorphs, are an easy addition, especially to low light and high nutrient tanks. It is easy to identify mushroom coral as they are often flat or dome-shaped, and circular or slightly oval in shape, resembling the cap of a mushroom. The genus ricordea, and sometimes rhodactis, will prefer more light, but there is always the wide world of discosoma mushrooms that are low light and high nutrient lovers. There are also several species of rhodactis such as the green hairy mushroom that does fabulous in low light.
