Professional Background
Lily earned her degrees in Marine Biology and Wildlife Conservation from the University of Rhode Island. Her scientific foundation is rooted in hands-on fieldwork, including shark research and invasive species monitoring. These experiences shaped her vision for a collaborative approach to aquatic preservation, leading to the establishment of a platform where data sharing and conservation go hand-in-hand.

Through her leadership at Lily Ichthyology, Lily developed a centralized database designed to empower home aquarists. By tracking breeding successes and genetic lineages, she helps hobbyists provide researchers with the vital data needed to protect endangered freshwater species. Lily is a firm believer that the collective knowledge of the aquarium community is one of our greatest untapped resources for saving species disappearing in the wild.
